Not sure what makes it so great. I'm a dad. I have dad hair. I've never needed a brush like this in my life. Then my wife and I had a daughter. She's beautiful, don't get me wrong, but brushing that beautiful hair....ugh. I have the original at home and wanted to get a second set. This is a cheap knock off. Don't waste your money. It came in a used original package that was torn and old . Amazon has become the con man's playground. Even when you look at everything online it looks real but when you get the product you can tell the quality is lacking and a little marking on the original says pending patent. This doesn't. I WANT to give this brush a 5 star review BUT in one dry the bristles started warping and bending. My hair dries super fast and smooth with it. It ends up way smoother than with my previous drying brush. But with the bristles warping like they are it makes it harder to brush through because they aren’t catching hair. I assume that they’re warping from heat from the hair dryer but that defeats the purpose of them having heat resistant bristles. It would be one thing if it was over the course of a year but they were bending and warping after ONE dry. If they didn’t do that I’d give it 5 stars. The first photo is after one use. I am writing this review in hopes of possibly saving you time & energy.The fantastic reviews pulled me into purchasing this brush. I normally use a boar bristle brush, but was intrigued with the idea of a brush that seemed to glide through any type of chaotic tangled mess.My boar bristle brush works just fine, but if I could get by with less pulling, all the better.Here are my quick observations:The Good:- Simple Packaging, very little waste! Only two pieces of plastic to hold brush in paper box! Everything else is paper. Yay. Packaging was sturdy - not flimsy thin.- Nice bright color.The Meh:- The brush itself feels 'cheap'. If I didn't know otherwise, I would have thought it was from the dollar store.- The bristles seem thin & makes me suspect how long they would last before falling out.- When trying it, it caught on my hair, and was more difficult to brush than my boar bristle brush.Summary:For now, unfortunately, for the cons listed above, I am returning this brush. I just can't justify spending $10 on a brush that seems like a regular brush.Granted, perhaps there are people for which this brush will work miracles. But maybe not for everyone. I have medium-long length thick hair. I recently started using Kerastais blow dry cream, which sped up my drying time to 8-9 minutes, down from closer to 15 minutes using a Dyson dryer. Using this brush I was able to dry my hair in SIX MINUTES. I typically wash my hair at night and find blow drying to be such an annoyance after a long day working and chasing children that I usually skip it and let my hair air dry, but I think I may start blow drying a few times a week thanks to this brush. Can you say MIRACLE?!?!? My daughter and I both curly hair and this brush GLIDES through wet hair like butter. It's unbelievable how well this brush works on wet hair. My daughter no longer screams when we have to brush her hair after a shower. I recently went to a new hairdresser and even he uses one! He agreed it was the best brush EVER for wet hair. I tried to blow dry my hair with this brush but it didn't work well. Could be my hair is just too thick and the brush didn't straighten as I prefer when I blow dry. If you don’t have this you are absolutely missing out— and your hair is breaking 10,000 times* more than it EVER has to with this brush!!!! (*statistics not exactly scientifically accurate wink wink)Also, my historically pretty fine notoriously straight beyond imaginable somewhat anti-heavy-deep-conditioning hair has become— well, the TOTAL OPPOSITE!!! Much to my delight because I get to use all the yummy smelling deep conditioners with coconut oil haha and also to my constant ire and agonizing frustration because it just keeps getting in this... pouf of webs of tiny insanely impossible tangled triple strength tight knots!!! I don’t even know what I’m doing or how but it is crazy and this little precious miracle of a brush is the ONLY thing keeping my hair alive at this point I am not kidding! I think this is the best brush I have ever owned in my life. My hair (long) looks better after I've used this brush. Plus it feels really good on your scalp. To be honest I'm not really sure if it dries your hair faster; I can't tell and it doesn't matter. It works magic on my hair wet or dry. Highly recommended! Will definitely buy again. Read more
