So I’m 23 with regular periods. But just seem to have fertility trouble. I have a 3 year old , which I consider a miracle because it took 2 and a half years for her to be concieved. Since she’s been born , I haven’t tried to “prevent “ pregnancy and still can’t conceive. (I know it’s not good)but I’ve been self-diagnosing myself and after a lot of review I believe I have a mild form of pcos I have a lot of the symptoms and after a few ovulation test , I came to the conclusion I do not ovulate or I might be ovulating really late. But In the normal times you’re supposed to , I don’t.I did a lot of research and came across these pills to help me ovulate in hopes I become pregnant.I started the last day of my period I believe it was January 24or 25. Because that’s when the package came. I’ve been taking them as directed since . One in the morning and one at night. I haven’t noticed any change yet in my body except my “down there smell” has improved. I also struggle with BV, it might be balancing the PH. And I had bad migraines for one night but that was it .Not really expecting to be pregnant this soon from it but my period is supposed to be here in 7days so I’m curious if that changes at all like pain or length .I just wanted to share my experience so far and to explain a little background for others that are maybe experiencing the same problem. I first tried Vitex + a couple of months at a point where nothing was working to balance my hormones. I've been estrogen dominant for a couple of years and have tried many products (creams & supplements) to help bring my estrogen down and progesterone up. I've kept a diary of my symptoms, weight, & products used over the course of 2yrs and this product was the turning point. Highly recommend if you're interested in going a natural route for hormone balance/replacement...personally I stay away from traditional doctors that want to use birth control pills or other manufactured hormone replacement therapies. Having PCOS makes it hard for me to conceive... after 2 years of trying and nothing working I read about this product. Many people stated it was an amazing product and I will admit I wasn’t 100% convinced. Well I only took it for one cycle and today I got a positive pregnancy test! UPDATE: Pregnant! I’m 44, and it’s been 5 years since my last baby. We figured, since I hadn’t gotten pregnant in all that time (after having babies every two years like clockwork) that the “factory was closed.” Well, apparently the factory has reopened. I can’t say for sure that it was the Vitex, but after five months of taking it, here we are!ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'm in my early 40's. In the last couple years, my cycle has become increasingly difficult. My period was starting every 21-23 days, lasting NINE days, and heavy like a crime scene! I had to set a timer to go to the bathroom every 90 minutes (even all night long!!) or I would be in a mess. My doctor did bloodwork, an ultrasound, and even a CT scan to make sure nothing was going on. Apparently it's just something that can start to happen at my age, as hormones start to get wonky. Ok I started taking Vitex due to having a short luteal phase and we were trying to get pregnant with our 2nd child. I got pregnant within a month. As soon as I found out I was pregnant I stopped taking them... a week later I miscarried. So I started taking them again this cycle. I got my positive this morning. I called my doctor to talk to them about it and they were not helpful saying they don't believe in herbs during pregnancy. Best Vitex ive tried. My progesterone is on the low side so instarted taking this after ovulation to stimulate the pituitary gland thus helping to make progesterone. I’ve taken other brands but have never noticed results.Update — I am now 8 weeks pregnant and im still taking it. I do believe it helped. Now that I'm 41 suddenly my ovaries seem to be "misfiring" more and more often. So my cycle became irregular, and shortened down to 2 week some months.I was grouchy and and snappy and not sleeping.
