I decided to buy this brand after listening to Dr. David Sinclair talk about the necessity of using high quality reserveratrol that has been kept in a cool, dark place, and that brown reserveratrol is for all practical purposes inactive. I was happy to see the white powder in these capsules, but figured that leaving one capsule out in a sunny window would go some way to proving that what's in the capsules is actually high quality reserveratrol. I've included a photo which compares a capsule fresh from the container alongside the one that spent a few weeks on the windowsill.It's also worth mentioning that Dr.Sinclair reports that reserveratrol has very low bioavailability when taken in a capsule and is best mixed in with a bit of fat ie yogurt. I like the standardization to 98%. I take 3 capsules in the morning and 3 at night. I am taking it for kidney disease. All the studies that show protection for the kidneys is in the amount of 2000mg or more. I will have to buy this supplement 3 times a month, pretty expensive. Wish they sold larger amounts Or they made this in a stronger strength so I wasn’t spending $54. A month to get a therapeutic dose. However, my recent kidney blood tests showed my numbers are back to normal. I also take Coenzyme Q10 in the average dose. I highly recommend this brand.UPDATE: they raised the price by $1.00. I appreciate that this product has all the proper credentials. It is easy to swallow. I expected to get a lift in energy, and I did, pretty early on. I don't know if it was because I expected it that I felt it, but I don't think so because I have had more energy continuously since starting this product. I also noticed, and I don't know if it was from the supplement, that the dark spots on the backs of my hands began to fade. Before I tried Toniiq, I bought resveratrol from the brand Solgar, whom I normally trust. I soon began having diarrhea daily. I did a little research, and it turns out this can happen with resveratrol supplements due to a component (emodin) in the japanese knotweed it's made from, and products with lower concentrations of resveratrol cause this more often. Apparently the only way to make sure you are taking a resveratrol supplement that does not contain much emodin is to use a supplement that is made with 98+% Resveratrol. So I looked around on Amazon and found this one, and since taking it I haven't had any digestive issues (phew!). I don't have any ongoing pain/heart issues I'm trying to solve, and I'm taking other supplements (turmeric, fish oil, probiotics, etc) so I can't say if resveratrol itself is having a positive effect on my health, but it's certainly causing no negative side effects. The first things that caught my attention about this product was the 98% pure trans-resveratrol standardization at a good dose. Most other products either don't disclose the standardization and or is typically 50%. Additionally, the price of this product is among the best in the market for the quality and dosage. The only thing cheaper would be going the bulk route with no pills, and I heard how bad this can taste so I don't see myself taking that route unless the price difference is drastic. I have tried this product in the past and I'm currently taking it as I write this. Many people say they experienced improvements in joint issues, focus, skin, blood pressure, anti-aging benefits, and many others. I initially took this for the anti-aging benefits. I can't say for sure I experienced everything many other people said they experienced. However I noticed I was able to breathe better. What I mean by this is that I have a history of asthma, bronchitis, sleep-apnea, and other respiratory issues. So there would be times where something would trigger an inflammation and I would have breathing issues that can last for weeks or until I receive some sort of medical care which typically involves prednisone or some other anti-inflammatory drug. So I take this, and I noticed my breathing issues has greatly diminished. At first, I didn't even attribute this effect to this product because I was taking a variety of products. Then I ran out of resveratrol (this product) and was still taking everything else. And the breathing issues came back. So I wondered, was it resveratrol that made my health improve? Then I purchased this again, and I feel the same benefits I did before. Now I'm pretty positive that this was the product that made my health improve so I will definitely continue to purchase this. Well where to start...there are some capsules with *something* in it that is white in color and will stay white even if it gets exposed to air for days. Packaging was poor and there wasn't any desiccant packs inside the bottle, that you usually see in most supplement bottles with capsules. Hence some capsules were stuck together most probably moisture build up. Also few of them were like bent or leaking. And most of the five star reviews are most probably due to "give us 5 and we send you another one for free (US only)".And yes I didn't feel any different after taking this "supplement" based on instructions. Giving 2 stars as I didn't have any adverse effects. Wanted to send this to a lab to find out actual content but just couldn't be bothered. I was aware of the background to Resveratrol and had been intrigued about the promised benefits. Finally I decided I had to try the product and found it on Amazon. So purchase and delivery was easy and fast. Now I've been taking it for close to 20 days and feel broadly better for it. For me I have an overall feeling of being more alert and a sense of more energy. I guess time will tell whether that continues but I figure if I stick with it and maintain the intake at recommended doses then my positive results will persist. This product is all about trust. As I don't believe Resveratrol actually make you feel any different. But the science says it is super good for you in many ways.
