I bought the Silk’n microdermabrasion device five days ago and I’ve already noticed significant improvement in my skin texture. I have a horrible habit of picking at my pores that I’ve never been able to break - it’s devistating to see the damage I’ve done to my skin. This device is not only helping as a healthy substitute to that habit, but also repairing my skin’s rough texture. I’ve never been so happy with a product and highly recommend this! My pores feel so clean and look so small. I’m extremely happy!! Read more

The media could not be loaded.  This has really helped me with my dry and sensitive skin. It help to suck up my dry/dead skin and kind of exfoliate it at the same time. It does make your face red and sometimes irradiated on the sensitive spots (my skin is terrible). Since I can't use most facial cleanser and scrubs without breaking out, this was a great alternative. Completely useless. There is no technology involved. The sanding area does not spin. The suction is minimal, simply so the skin dust doesn’t fall off your face. The suction is not therapeutic. Although the headline says blackhead removal, in the Q and A, the company says it is not designed to remove whiteheads or blackheads. It isnot a chargeable device. You can buy an exfoliating paddle at a fraction of the cost, and simply exfoliate over a sink or towel and the wash your face. Not at all what I thought I was paying for. Much better to spend the 99 dollars at your facialist and get true, deep microdermabrasion with safe, lasting results. Read more

A friend of mine had this product a while back. She recommended it because I have acne prone skin and more acne scars than I could count. She said that skin resurfacing could help with fading acne scars.I went on youtube and looked at reviews on this product. Some were not great, as it appears to have caused busing and breakouts. But I decided to still buy it and attempt to use it lightly, at first.Once I received it, I used the low suction and lightly stretched my skin and made a quick pass with this microderm device. I noticed some redness so only did two passes. I did my whole face and noticed the large amount of dead skin that was on the filter. To be honest, I didn't think that this thing was sucking any dead skin off my face. Had it not been for the proof that I had, I would had thought that this was a useless product. I did notice some flaking on my jaw area. The good news is that it didn't cause any bruising or redness that would last over 10 minutes. Also no breakouts due to the usage of this device. I have been using it once a week for about a month and a half. I can't say that my skin has improved in texture at all, but at least it hasn't damaged it. I gave it four stars because it gave me proof that it was peeling and removing dead skin from my face, so it's working. Read more

I am in love with this! I use it once a week on Thursday's and I use a derma roller on Monday's. Nothing has ever helped my acne but I have a very specific routine that includes this and it has helped me so much. Don't be alarmed if you get acne the first couple months. That's very common! My skin is doing a crazy amount better! Read more

First I just wanted to reference you have to have the right expectations when purchasing this product. It is not a $300 machine that you’d see at a spa, but it is one of the best at-home exfoliation devices that I’ve used - I’m no stranger to microdermabrasions and I’d highly recommend scheduling one treatment to be done by a professional first so you can see what the passes should look like and experience how much pressure you should be using. I think the first level on the suction device is comparable to about a level 1 on a professional diamond tip microdermabrasion machine. The second level felt equivalent to that of a level 3. I think it’s appropriate to help prevent injuries and broken capillaries. It isn’t necessarily the easiest thing to use, but this has less to do with the machine and more so to do with the treatment itself. When you go to the spa it’s about a 30min-45min treatment. Using this machine took me about the same amount of time. Set realistic expectations for how long it’ll take! Combine this with some serums and moisturizers and I can already tell this is going to be one of my favorite at home beauty treatments! Read more

This is an amazing DIY microdermabrasion machine. I use it once/week on the high setting, and have used it about five times so far. I have limited redness following the treatment and it leaves my skin extremely soft and clear. I’ve seen a dramatic reduction in my pores (no more clogged pores ever!), my face is no longer oily but it still so soft and moisturized, and I’m finding that my fine lines are much less noticeable. Ive has a huge decrease in breakouts, and my skin appears more even. The machine does not hurt whatsoever, and most people find it feels really nice and soothing and relaxing. I’ve had microdermabrasion professionally (at $120 per session) and this is giving me identicle results. It takes 20 minutes when you first start out and then ten minutes once you get the hang of it. The only issue is that my friends/family are all seeing the results, so visits to my house always turn into microdermabrasion sessions lol. All of the components are super easy to sterilize, and I personally clean the pieces by soaking in 100% isopropyl for ten minutes after each use, and then spritzing with the isopropyl before each use. If you are prone to blemishes, make sure that you use your acne products consistently for two days following use because any type of microdermabrasion opens you up to extra bacteria for a day or two. I personally my dermabrasion with a high frequency wand to kill bacteria and help my moisturizers go deeper into my skin. Do NOT have any product on your skin during the microdermabrasion, and start with a clean and very dry face. After you are done, slather with your favorite serum, moisturizer or favorite moisturizing peel. I would also recommend avoiding your retinol products immediately following use AND be warned that your vitamin C products are perfectly safe but can cause additional stinging and redness. Read more

Pros+ If you don't regularly exfoliate you will see a big difference in your skin as it becomes smoother. This product is great at removing dead skin and flakes.+ This kit comes with a good amount of replacement filters, which is not something the Amazon page advertises. It is important to realize this before buying extra filters.+ The product does not heat up or fail to work after a couple months of use.Cons:- If you already exfoliate you may not see any results. I see similar results using this as I do from scrubbing my face with a sand based exfoliant.- The different nozzles do not provide any distinctly noticeable differences. They all perform okay, but not amazing. I was pretty disappointed that there was no "wow" factor after a month's usage.- I experienced an acne breakout using this device. I usually have no acne with only tiny blackheads and whiteheads under the surface. This device caused pimples to break out across my cheeks and on my chin.Overall: May be a good price range compared to other devices but it does not seem worth the money when a exfoliating wipe will produce the exact same results. If you have ever had a salon microdermabrasion then you’ll know how great it is for your skin. This unit brings the spa to your home. It works just as well as any expensive salon session. For a fraction of the cost. The suction isn’t strong enough to bruise (not sure what the people with those reviews were actually doing with it), but it does take time and patience. Takes about 35 to do your whole face. There is of course, redness afterwards (it is exfoliating afterall). I use a rosehip oil afterwards then followed by a good nighttime face cream. Same result as if I had gone to a $120 spa session. Read more

What!? Less than $100 and it works!! Awesome. It's pretty powerful. I was a little too aggressive the first time and almost made myself bleed.I've had professional microdermabrasion done once before and didn't feel as smooth as I do with this little thing.I much rather do things like this at home than go out to a salon and overspend.I was torn between this one and a $300 machine. I feel happy with this purchase. Read more

I had severe acne & trying to maintain at the moment & left with scars. Spent a lot of money in the past on microdermabrasion & chemical peel. I was looking for something I can use at home so I can save. I was told about this & it comes with a nice case, refills & 3 different types of diamond tips. First week I notice the difference. I would definitely recommend this. It's affordable. Read more
