My daughter is currently potty training using the Oh Crap! method from the book here on Amazon, and I saw some people in the facebook support group mention this as an easier way to clean up the bed in the middle of the night than completely changing their sheets, because even if you have a waterproof mattress pad, it usually goes over the whole bed. This only covers the part of the bed that's going to get peed on.My daughter's twin-sized bed is up against a wall so it's nearly impossible to tuck both sides under the mattress, but it stays in place just with one end tucked under and the other stuffed into the space between wall and mattress.This is a life saver for middle of the night pees while potty training. I actually keep both of them on her bed one on top of the other. If she pees in the middle of the night, I just go in and remove one of them, throw it in the laundry basket, and put her back to bed. It takes seconds. I still have issues with some of the pee wicking through her clothes onto the pillow, but haven't yet had pee get onto the sheets at all. Read more

I bought these because they had the tuck in part on the ends to keep the pad stable during the night. I bought them for my elderly mother who needs the mattress protection at night but the pads that just lay on the bed weren't good enough because when she turned over to her side, the pad would move.First, I will say that I don't believe they can hold the amount of liquid that the description states. They are not very heavy duty like some of the other pads that she has used. These are lightweight and thin. I just bought these about 6-8 months ago and so far there haven't been any leaks through them to the sheet but I won't be using them as the primary pad for long. I bought 2 heavier pads 18 months ago and was hoping that these pads would replace those. I just reordered the heavier ones as I know they will last longer.Next, the pad itself JUST FITS a twin size mattress. As in fits from end to end on top. Think about this for a moment. When most people wake up they sit up and then put their legs and feet over the side of the bed. Now they are sitting on the edge of the mattress. If the person has wet clothing, there is the possibility of the side of the mattress becoming wet. I was hoping that the pad would hang over then edge of the mattress by about 2" - 3" to protect the side. My mother only gets up from one side of the bed so I have pulled the pad to hang over the edge the few inches leaving the other side of the mattress unprotected. So far things have been fine, but I won't be taking the chance much longer.As a side note...For those of you who are looking to have waterproof pads on a bed, I highly recommend using a waterproof mattress pad as well, as a "just in case". My mother has one on her mattress and it's not like the old ones that were noisy and all plastic. This looks just like a regular mattress cover but has an added waterproof layer. I bought these for night wetting kids ages 3, 6, and 8. Bedding below stays dry despite heavy wettings at times from the kids. My only complaint is I wish the waterproof part was just a little wider. It’s not quite as wide as a twin bed, so I did have wetness go through to the sheet below once when the child peed near the side of the bed. I like the wings that tuck under and help it stay in place. Easy to wash.Update 6/19: I now only have one night wetter, but I still love these pads! They stay nice and soft (and fully waterproof) even with repeated washing/drying. I highly recommend them! Read more

When my toddler went through a puke phase, these helped me get her out of it.My daughter learned to make herself puke when it was bedtime and I tried to leave the room. Such a neat trick! Joy. The only way to get her to realize it wouldn’t work was to minimize the time spent cleaning and have her back in before she knew it. I got these to catch the puke so I wouldn’t have to change the whole bed. They’re large enough to cover more than half the crib!! So when she would sit up, it would even catch bits.After a week and a half of using these, so thankful for 2 of them, she gave up her neat trick.They did not absorb vomit smell after much use, washed up without a stain (magically), and now they sit waiting for bedtime potty training.Lifesaver. We have an amazing senior disabled Pug that is incontinent, due to this she wears a reusable/washable diaper throughout the day (when inside). Her disability causes her to be more prone to UTI's and other medical issues. At night she has her own little pack & play bed set-up, with a nice big comfortable dog bed in it, that we cover with reusable waterproof bed pads so that she doesn't have to wear a diaper at night. She has accidents every night. The reusable bed pads have been absolutely wonderful as she is able to be diaper free at night, sleep in a comfy bed without soiling it, and we are able to easily wash the bed pads. We have found that the Saddle Style Reusable Waterproof Bed Pads are our best bet as they nicely tuck under/around the edges of her dog bed so that she can't nest and move it, meaning she isn't able to soil her bed, only the pad. We would highly recommend this product for any pet parent. It of course would also work great for human use too. Read more

I highly recommend these waterproof covers. After having them for 8 weeks with daily washings they are still soft, absorbent and holding up well. We have a young son that is learning to stay dry at night. These make it easy for him to remove and put in the hamper and replace with a clean one. Giving him the satisfaction of "doing things himself" and it lightens my laundry load -instead of having to wash soiled sheets and the large waterproof pad that protects the entire mattress, I wash just this topper. Had this for several months now and it has been wonderful. Fully absorbs overnight accidents without a trace left on the sheet below. Cleans easily and so far there is no lingering urine odor (been used three times).It's not marketed for menstrual purposes, but I imagine this would be really helpful for people with heavy cycles and experience overnight leaking.
