I bought this flat iron almost 2 years ago. It’s done a decent job until about a week ago when it started shocking me from where the power cord connects to the unit. Today, while using it, I heard a loud POP, saw a flash and smoke, and felt a zap. See attached photo. A large spark from the end of the iron where it’s connected to the cord burned my arm. Needless to say, I threw it in the trash. Buyers beware. Read more
In all fairness, this will straighten your hair decently. However, it takes a long time and my hand started to hurt within a couple minutes because the iron is only touching in an inch and a half area (as pictured) and to make use of the entire iron, you need to squeeze it shut very hard. Because you have to hold it closed so tightly, it also pulls on your hair. I can't imagine how this doesn't damage hair.I emailed the seller for a replacement, which was sent out immediately. However, the replacement has the exact same issue of the iron not being flush when you close it.This product is cheaply made and made my bathroom and hair smell like melting plastic.Unfortunately, I will be making a second trip to UPS (which is 33 minute from my house) to return this again and buying a higher quality one next time. I encourage you to learn from my mistake and not waste your time with this product. Read more
I was looking for a cheap replacement for my nice straight iron, and unfortunately came upon this one. The “floating” irons do nothing but pull my hair. I have easy to straighten hair and this makes it take twice as long because when I put it on high heat, it was barely warm enough to straighten my hair. Read more
Pleasantly surprised! Heats up quick, able to create beautiful curls and it was my first time curling with a flat iron! In addition I accidentally discovered 2 locking mechanisms for the temperature and to also keep the iron closed as I curl! Read more
Good flat iron but it hasn't lost that "electrical burning" smell that usually goes away after a few uses. I'm worried that it might have an electrical short and could cause a fire. I waited too long to be able to return it, so I've had to toss it. A $20 flat iron isn't worth burning down my house. Read more
Best I’ve ever had in my life!! I’ve been burning, I mean straightening, my hair for over 15 years and this straightener is the best. When my first one died after almost 10 yers I cried. I tried out a few other ones until I just purchased this same one last year again. I use it to straighten, wave and curl my hair. This is one product that I would be the spokeswoman for... hint hint, if anyone is listening. No but all silliness aside, stop scrolling and hit “buy now” and thank me later. Read more
Horrible straightener, it says "anti static" it should be called "static inducer". It's cheaply made, and it works terribly, hence, the cheap price. Don't waste your money on this product. Read more
I would recommend spending a little more money on a higher-quality product. This product is not quality. It feels like a toy (made of plastic), felt coarse through my hair while using it, and left creases in my hair. I would also not recommend this straightener for curling. Read more
I purchased this flat iron over 2 years ago. When I first bought it, I thought it was a steal, in terms of price and style. I really liked it, and it worked great on my hair. Mind you, I have kinky afro hair, so that says a lot. However, rapidly over time, the ceramic plates quickly became burnt and started damaging my hair, even on low temperatures. The effectiveness of this straightener began to diminish about a year into me owning this. I figured the main reason for this was because this straightener was cheaply made. Of course, upon opening it for the first time, you think the best of it. However it began to wear out a lot faster than I thought it would. For the price, I would say it's a huge steal, as straighteners can get very expensive... However if you are looking for something to last, look somewhere else! Read more
Hi I have been using this a couple of months at 370F. No problems until this morning. Plugged it in as usual, picked it up as usual at the bottom on the outside where you are supposed to pick it up. I BURNED my finger and thumb where I picked it up! After dealing with the burn, I went back to use it with mittens on (I need it to look presentable for work), and it still burned right through. Not sure what happened but please BEWARE and know that this may one day suddenly get hot on the OUTSIDE. Obviously the product is toast after 2 months only but worse is so are my fingers. Read more
Read more
Read more
