Compared with other famous pacifier holder brands in the market like WubbaNub and Nookums, this is by far the Best design in the market as a stuffed animal pacifier holder.WubbaNub cons:Pacifier not removable for cleaning the pacifier every time when used, or for washing the stuffed animal when it’s dirty. It’s commended for a pacifier to be replaced every 3-4 months for sensitizing purpose, you will see that in the description when you shop for pacifiers. However WubbaNub design makes it not possible to do so, especially it’s expensive $15 a piece, they can’t expect people to spend $15 every 3-4 months for a pacifier. And it doesn’t have a holder for hospital kind pacifier (the best pacifier in my opinion for NB and up), nor does it have a holder for other pacifiers with hoop design.Nookums Cons:Better than WubbaNub on other aspects, but doesn’t have holder for other pacifiers with hoop design.Other stuffed animal pacifier holders in the market with only holder for pacifiers with hoop design are basically not considerable for me. The pacifier from hospital since my baby was born is the best pacifier in my opinion, size, shape, and quality. So I’d not consider those at all.When this Phillips Avent one came out, I was so happy because Finally a stuffed animal pacifier holder doesn’t have cons of other ones in the market. It has both holders for hospital given pacifiers (that are also from this same company, which is trustworthy without doubt on the pacifier part), and pacifiers with hoop design. Because it has both, you can even use the hooped pacifier holder to attach this to a teething necklace if you want.However, the quality of this holder should be improved, and I’m mostly referring to the sewing part. Here first I provided a picture of the overall design and size of the product. Then I provided pictures of the quality issue I’m talking about. #1 is the 1st one I received in the mail, it’s showing inseems threads almost everywhere: top of head, bottom of head, belly. So I called amazon and had them sent me a replacement. Then I got the #2 in the mail, the sewing is great this time on almost everywhere besides the nose part. Even tho the bottom of head isn’t lined up, but at least not showing the inseems. The nose part however, shows inseems at the bottom and where the holder sewed on. And the front holder is a bit twisted to the side and not facing front as you can see in the picture.For a $15 pacifier holder I beleive customers deserve better quality. Basically the pacifier itself is only like around $1.5, customers are bacially paying $13 for a small stuffed animal with pacifier holder function. It should be sewed nicely at least.Anyways, overall, this is the Best design for stuffed animal pacifier holder in the market for sure. Since my son’s pediatrician recommended soothies, this was the perfect product. As a first time mom, I had no idea why you would want a wubbanub. Then, I realized his pacifier would always come out... what an annoyance! Huge problem with the wubbanub and other brands was that the paci could not be detached! I was not fond about spot cleaning the stuffed animal and wiping the paci (especially when my son had Thrush!) I love that the soothie snuggle can detach so I can throw the giraffe in the wash and sterilize the paci! My daughter is 10w and so far just likes the Nanobebe pacifier. It is hard to hold her pacifier all the time since she is not able to hold it by herself yet, she sucks too strong sometimes and the pacifier flies across the room, so I got this hoping it would fit and it worked. It is not THE perfect fit but it holds the pacifier well enough.She doesn't like the Avent yet because is too long for her right now and she gags trying to suck it. To me it was worth to get it for the Nanobebe one. I will probably get more because it makes it easier to find the pacifier and to hold if it is falling.The toy is super soft and cute, I just wish it had little more weight on to mimic the weight of my hand holding it because my daughter feels the difference of that. Edit: My old review was five stars but I changed it to three stats because although the soother is good, it constantly falls out. I keep on having to go back and forth just to put the soother back in my baby's mouth which isn't convenient when you want a baby to instantly sleep for nap time. Also, when my daughter turned 3 months she started to grab the stuffed elephant and play with it when it's time for her to sleep. This would make the soother be pulled out of her mouth and therefore lead to her crying. This would happen several times to the point where I would detach the elephant from the soother. The whole purpose of the elephant was to keep the soother from falling out and that seemed to be not evident.This soother would probably work best for babies up until 3 months where they cannot grab onto things. Other than that I cannot deny that it's a high quality product and it does soothe when it's in my baby's mouth.Original post: My daughter instantly loved this soother! When I got the WubbaNub, which is probably the biggest in the market, I was disappointed that it would only work for a few months and then the pacifier would not be the right size. I was also disappointed that there was no way to really sterilize the pacifier well. I then got the Dr Brown's... Which was an improvement but didn't hold the Philips soothie that my daughter loves. We were struggling to find a safe option to replace our 14 month olds previous wabanub. I love this because you can use the larger smoothie with it which is the only pacifiers he will use but we continue to try the orthodontic on the attached Velcro. With any futur children we will start with this because it’s nice to be able to sterilize the pacifiers and wash the stuffed animal separately. Until then the will be my go to baby shower gift!
