These tissues are great for blotting excess oils from your face throughout the day, but they’re designed more for people who want to keep their make up in place. Either side of a single sheet can be used, but one side has a blotting powder that makes my bare face look ashy. I am medium to maybe deep tan in skin tone so I don’t imagine this product would suit a brown or darker skin person. Also the paper is very stiff and thick which wasn’t at all what I was looking for where it’s a thin sheet of paper kinda like 1/2-ply toilet paper. I'm pushing 50 and I still use these every freaking day. Oily skin is no joke. I envy women with normal or even dry skin that don't look like someone sprayed a fine mist of olive oil onto their faces. LITERALLY, within 10-15 minutes of washing my face, if I used one of these oil blotters it'd be fully gross with the amount of oil that was absorbed. I've used oil blotting papers for the last 23 years and these are the best I've found. I always have some on hand, in my purse, my bathroom, my car, etc. They're affordable and personally, I like the little bit of powder that's on the papers. I'm pale though so it's no biggie for me. If I don't have these the second best blotter is plain brown recycled napkins or handtowels, the cheaper and thinner the better. Or, grossly, those disposable toilet seat covers found in some public bathrooms. Those work really well too, cuz when you're young and broke you realize you have to make do! However, these oil blotters are tiny, inconspicuous, work well, are cheap, and travel well. UPDATE:After using these a while longer, I decided that although I will continue to buy blotting papers without any powder added, I will also never be without these. There's something about the combo of the rice powder and the blotting paper that mattifies my oily areas and blurs skin imperfections like nothing I've ever found. The translucent is great for light/medium skin (I'm NC130), but might slightly wash out deeper skin tones. I love the fact that it doesn't add any obvious color though.OLD REVIEW: These work wonders, but be aware that you are applying a layer of makeup to your skin. Sometimes it's a little too much if I just did my makeup and don't want anything else on there. I bought another brand without powder for these times, and i don't know if I will repurchase these, just because I don't like to have too many versions of things. That said, they do work very beautifully and would make a fantastic replacement for a compact of oil absorbing face powder. I decided to get these after researching different oil sheets, both on Amazon and on Google. These came up in both searches as very highly reviewed, and at such a good price, I decided to give these a try. I debated between the translucent and natural color, and ultimately decided to get the translucent. I have not been disappointed. These are great in the middle of the work day when I start to feel extra oily. I just dab a sheet all over my face until it's all used (covered in oil), then use a second one until it doesn't pick up oil. They leave my skin looking great and feeling nice and dry/smooth; and it's satisfying to see all the oil left on the sheet. I am very glad I chose the translucent color. It doesn't show up, but I think the powder aspect helps make the skin feel smoother and look non-oily for longer. I will buy these again when I run out. Exactly how I was hoping these would work. First of all, I don't normally buy blotting papers...I don't have issues with oily skin and never needed them. Then I spotted ones with Translucent Powder in the drugstore ah nd i had to try them. They worked so wonderfully for my midday touch up...I just placed the translucent powder around the area i wanted touched up and was honestly surprised at how effective and how much powder it provided. It was enough to make my face look fresh and allow me to really other things like blush, etc. I also liked how the blotting paper delivery method seemed to push powder into skin instead of just sitting on top and looking cakey/powdery. It only to took 1 sheet for my whole face once a day. This appeared to be a pretty new item and I came on Amazonto see if by chance they were carrying it yet. They don't carry that particular brand but i found something better...THESE! They were only 10 sheets less than other one but SOOOOO much more affordable. I couldn't believe when I saw the price. And this brand has color choices to match your skin but I've always been a translucent powder girl. They can't this morning and I just tried for 1st time. I didn't know what to expect from rice powder but it made my face look amazing!! Like freshly applied cosmetics! Again it only took one sheet forc whole face with extra left for spurs i wanted to out more on. They're definitely bigger than the E.L.F. ones and I like the results better. I have the most greasy skin known to man or woman. I used to always get these papers from Superdrug, but they discontinued them 😢 I found them on Amazon and bought a pack of 3. These absorb the oil but don't remove my make up. If you have greasy skin they're a must have. Read more

I’m a recent convert to blotting papers . This one works better than standard blotting papers as the rice powder not only removes excess oil but also gives a mattifying effect and I dont need to apply a mattifying powder on that area.
