In Jan 2018 this product cost under $9. The price has increased considerably. I will continue to buy this product for myself & family members, though. I've been taking vegan vit D3 for years without any notice of health improvement. My fingernails began to get weaker, develop grooves and my thumbnail developed an indented, wide, brown streak down the middle. New growth of fingernails has improved greatly since beginning this particular product. I do wish they sold larger bottles containing 120 capsules besides the huge price hike, I have no complaints. This vitamin D is made from 100% vegan material. About 95% or more of ALL vitamin D is actually made from lanolin which comes from the oil found on sheep's wool (Google it). That makes it non-vegan, beware of any cheaply priced "vegan" vitamin D because it will actually be made from lanolin. True vegan vitamin D is only made from lichen which is more expensive than lanolin. If your like me and your allergic to sheep's wool then lanolin will make you sick to your stomach each time you take it. I never get sick with this vitamin D because it is true vegan lichen. The details for the quantities are on their website. Mine is 2500IU of D3 from lichen (625% RDA) and 80mcg of K2 as MK-7 (100% RDA). I don't have any strong opinions on this vitamin, just thought people might want to know this since it isn't on the Amazon page (yet).Haven't noticed anything any better or worse than any other vitamin. I chose this one, because many vegan D3/K2 vitamins have way too much D3 in them. The upper safety limit on D3 is generally considered to be 4,000 IU, so when I see supplements with 5,000 IU, I get a little cautious about taking them. Read more
