I have been taking gingko biloba for years and it does help with short term memory. I normally purchase my gingko from health shops but I thought I would give this brand a go. I really cannot comment how beneficial these tablets are to memory etc because I choked so badly on the first one I took that I am not going to risk it again. Now admittedly, gingko tablets tend to be on the dry side and necessitate a fair amount of water to swallow comfortably, but these are so horrendously dry that they are in a category all of their own. Sorry about the graphic details, but I had to make myself spew up the horrid tablet stuck in my throat and choking me. Not an experience I wish on anyone, so would not recommend. I got this to try and home treat suspected pmdd/ extreme pms. I have been feeling much better after a couple of months of taking it, but I can’t be sure the ginkgo is the only reason as I am taking a few other supplements and vitamins. My brain however is quicker, my memory recall is better and I am more motivated then I have been for years. It seems to work best if you break the pill into two doses and have with separate meals. I did try taking two pills a day but it made me feel very odd and i don’t recommend more then one a day. It takes time to see results, but they fo happen. It can be dangerous if taken with ibuprofen, so I have had to replace ibuprofen with paracetamol in my cupboard. Read more
