If you like floss pics, these seem fine for what they are. The floss is strong and solid. The curve in the pointed handle makes it nice for using as a toothpick. However, I got them hoping they'd be easier for my elderly dad, but they haven't been easier at all for me, so I haven't even tried with him. The environmental benefits leave a lot to be desired. Finally, to cover all the surfaces between my teeth takes four passes instead of two, so twice as much work. (Read on for more details.)Reasons why I'll go back to floss after I finish up with the floss pics.1) It takes more effort to cover all the spaces between the teeth -- four swipes up and down instead of two. Using string floss, I need two actions: I wrap around the curve of the back tooth with an up and down swipe and then around the curve of the front tooth with an up and down swipe, then on to the next space between my teeth. Since pic floss doesn't curve, I have to go down the back tooth angled toward my cheek side, then again angled toward my tongue side, and then twice more on the side of the front tooth - cheek side then tongue side.2) Learning to use the pics was challenging and time consuming. I finally realized that I need to put my fingers on the plastic part right over the floss. When I held the pic by the extended handle, it was really hard to get these to go between my teeth. Getting the floss out from between my teeth requires a sawing action and just the right angle. Initially, the floss would get stuck even though I was pulling up hard. I feared I would dislodge one of my crowns. I don't have that problem now, but it was scary until I figured out a better way to use these. I couldn't see my elderly dad getting use to these, so it defeated the purpose of buying them.3) Environmentally, I think string floss in a cardboard dispenser makes much more sense. The PLA plastic in these pics is definitely preferably to petroleum sourced plastic, however PLA takes 80 years to break down in nature and "compostable" refers to industrial composting at high temperatures. PLA won't compost under normal back yard composting conditions. Read more
I have a terrible time with floss breaking. But the floss in these picks has held up really, really well. I am very impressed. And compostable to boot! Excellent product. Read more
Normally I use Plackers mint flavor for tight teeth. When I first used this product, it felt less sturdy and a little harder to hold. It also doesn’t have the fold out pic on the end which I love about Plackers. The pic isn’t sticking out all the time snagging and poking into things until you want to fold it out and use it. So overall, I prefer platters for usability, design and taste. However; with that said, it was important to me to find an environmentally biodegradable product that I could toss out the car window into a countryside ditch. Having a more readily disposable product encourages me to carry them with me and use them more often, and that is my main goal. After 3 to 4 uses, I no longer consciously compared them to Plackers and I have become satisfied with them. Read more

Started using these and they are as good as less eco friendly floss picks. Like the sturdy handle and pick as well. Meets all of my uses and still an eco friendly product in eco friendly packaging. Read more
These are great. The plastic seems to hold up better then normal store bought so the tips don't break off instantly. The lower profile head its deep enough to get all of the tooth but feels a bit easier to use then the deeper store bought. They say eco friendly. I don't know how but if they really are that is also a bonus.I would get these over any other picks. Read more
every bit as good as the ones that make you feel (more*) earth-guily for using.great unit price, quantity spread across several boxes allows sanitary hand-out thru car, home, office*being mindful everything leaves a footprint, anything that uses recycles materials deserves consideration at this late stage Read more
These are the best - especially for being biodegradable- I’ve had! I’ve tried other brand and these fit well in between my teeth (I have right teeth) and they never tear the string, biodegradable everything (packaging too), flavor is great and I just love then Read more
Those dental floss picks look well made but also look very plasticky. I can't tell if are eco friendly. The reason I have given very low rating is due to the unhygienic package. They come loose in a box without any sealing whatsoever. You put the picks in your mouth, touching gums etc. In the box are exposed to dust, bacteria etc. and I don't even know their manufacturing process. Anyone can open the boxes as there is no sealing. They might argue that are eco friendly and shouldn't have any plastic package but if picks are eco friendly, it is ok to have 1 plastic bag for hygiene reasons. Read more
I didn’t know what to expect when trying to help the planet. I wasn’t at all disappointed with the outcome. Little as floss sticks may be, it all helps. The quality is outstanding compared to the plastic ones I was using which constantly frayed. I will be purchasing again and I would definitely recommend them to a friend or family. Read more
For years I’ve been using floss on a reel, making my fingers sore as I teased the floss between my very close up gnashers.A new hygienist suggested I try floss sticks - honestly they are a game changer. These black beauties appealed as not made of single use plastic, the floss is strong and efficient and the pointy end great for going over the gum line before brushing. Very happy customer. Read more
Personally I have found the toothpicks awkward to use. They seem smaller than a standard one, for example Oral-B. I promise I'm not a complete idiot but sometimes it is a challenge to find the gap in between my teeth. I think my hands might be too big for these things. Unlike some other floss I have used, they are very durable though - no fraying. Although sometimes they cause bleeding.Anyway, I will keep using as I cannot find a good eco friendly alternative. After I broke my arm I needed a one handed flossing method. But wanted eco friendly too. This was perfect. Works well and easily. Arrived quickly. Read more
