I took this, 11 caps per day distributed across 3 meals, at the suggestion of Dr. Siebecker for Sibo. Along with it they recommend 3 caps per day of bionics research oregano and allimed, 16 drops 3 times per day, before each meal. This is considered a high dose, and is to be taken for 4-6 wks. This was helpful but I have not yet figured out if it completely solved the problem. Note that they recommend a pro kinetic to follow immediately after the antimicrobials-- the herbals options are iberogast after meals and motil pro or any high dose ginger, which is 1000mg before bed. another option is erythromycin 50mg before bed. I am extremely pleased with my results so far. I have the lovely mess of thyroid, candida, constipation methane SIBO, leaky gut, vitamin and mineral deficiencies........In the past 2 years I have developed a bloated stomach with absolutely ANYTHING I eat. I never feel like I have fully exhaled, I feel full so quickly and constantly have air come up my throat no matter what I eat or drink (it's not burping because I don't burp - not even as a child- FRUSTRATING!. If you are looking at this product you probably have SIBO or other digestive problems. After having taken both this product and Xifaxan, I would say this product is superior. It carries with it the benefit of not being a prescription antibiotic (although it is a natural one) and costs about $30 versus about 2k if your insurance doesn't cover the medication. I have/had SIBO and my doctor told me to try this while insurance figured out if they would be kind enough to cover the xifaxan. I just finished the xifaxan and felt better on this.
