I got this nail clipper after my sister-in-law showed me the electric nail trimmer she uses for her kids. This particular nail trimmer has several different speeds, but they are all similar and fast. When I tried using the electric side of the clipper, I felt that it was rubbing on my daughter’s skin and sure enough, one of the fingers it rubbed too much that it caused a little bleeding. This then prompted me the next time to try the regular clipper side. I felt much more comfortable personally using the regular clippers. I think once my baby gets a little bigger, I may give the electric side another chance. A bonus with this product compared to regular nail clippers is that it has a light to help me see better. I liked that this product is chargeable; but honestly, it's not necessary as it's just one more wire to keep. Since nail clippers aren't used daily and when they are used it's for very little time, making it run on regular batteries would have been acceptable too. I definitely recommend cutting babies nails when someone is feeding a bottle or while she is sleeping. I thought having an electric clipper would make me feel more at ease cutting my babies nails, but I feel for a mother who is worried about hurting her baby, it's still difficult even with the electric ability. This nail grinder is different than others I have used. It actually has manual clippers and the grinder in one. I like this one because it does not require batteries but charges. It does not come with a wall adapter but the cord only for charging. It does have a lot of different bits for the end. One thing just to note is that there is no container to store everything. I ended up using a little plastic Tupperware container to store all the different heads in. Otherwise I was concerned I would not be able to find them when I needed them.Ideally it would be nice to have a container that could fit both the device and the bits as well as the cord in but I will need to get something larger in the future.The grinder works very well. It also has a light to see the small nail tip. I prefer the grinder to the traditional nail clippers. Those makes me too nervous so honestly I don’t use them. Ever since I started using these grinders I don’t plan on ever going back to the standard clippers. At least not for little ones. They really are simple to use and there is absolutely zero fear of accidental cuts or baby jerking their finger.I like this set overall. I have one older children and just had another baby. Nail care was always a struggle with the older kid and I took our lives into my hands trying to use baby nail clippers to keep them trim. They were still sharp after trimming. Enter the baby rotary nail file. This thing is amazing. The filing discs have enough grit to file baby's nails, but are gentle enough that they don't even phase the baby if you bump their skin. I have used it both with babies awake and asleep and they didn't notice a bit. And it's crazy quiet to boot. I have a doggy dremel for my dogs nails and was worried it would be on that noise level. This nail grinder/polisher is very easy to use and nice and quiet, which everyone appreciates. It doesn't come charged, but I could use the nail grinder while plugged in to a USB port. The instructions don't indicate which color of grinder is for what and I wish it did, but I didn't find any of the colors to be so harsh or so soft that they would hurt anyone. The white one has a wool finish and isn't for grinding nails, but for smoothing and polishing, which is a nice touch to include, as we all appreciate that. Overall, it's a win for me and my family! This is a good one to add to the baby registry. It’s rechargeable so you aren’t tethered and don’t have to worry about buying batteries. Charge lasts a while. I’d recommend trying different settings on yourself so you know how strong they are for using on an infant. Buffers are effective without burning or cutting skin. Parts are easy to pop out and change. The light is so helpful, all clippers should have light! FYI the clippers turn to work properly. Light is on both ends. Overall, this nail file set is a top recommended item for all new moms. Cutting baby's finger nails is so daunting but this electric file takes all of the guess work out of it. I like that it comes with multiple filing heads to use on baby's thin and flexible finger nails.
