The media could not be loaded.  This is a good car seat, quite representative of the Graco line of car seats; nicely made and plush, reasonably priced, and a tiny bit less sophisticated in its design than other posher brands. In my review's accompanying video, I am showing this car seat next to a Graco 4Ever DLX Platinum 4-in-1 Car Seat (black and grey) and a Graco 4Ever 4-in-1 Convertible Car Seat (black and grey with bright green trim).The Slimfit's main selling point is that it can become slimmer than other similar Graco seats because the built-in cupholders can be rotated/collapsed until they're half their width (see attached video). That's supposed to make the seat 10% slimmer: that is, from 20 inches wide to 18 in, in theory. But that's not really the case, because the back of the seat remains at 18.5 inches at its widest point. Also, I think all that rotation would end up breaking the cupholders and what's the point anyway? If you want cupholders, buy a car seat with cupholders. If you want a slim toddler car seat, get one without cupholders.Other than that, it's all fine: the car seat is versatile, with several modes of use that allow you to use it for kids from infancy to 40 lbs (rear-facing) and up to 110 lbs when it's forward facing and/or in booster mode. But, while you could use it for infants, I would not like doing it because it can't be latched to any stroller -- when my toddlers were babies and fell sleep in the car, I very much liked having the ability of seamlessly transferring them them in their infant car seat to a stroller without waking them up.The seat features EZ Latch install, which is a quite easy process in three steps and gives you a firm attachment to the car.Plush padding all around. We have the GRACO SLIMFIT 3-IN-1 CONVERTIBLE CAR SEAT, ANNABELLE for my husband's truck (Silverado) for our 13 month old. We have a new baby due in a few months and needed another seat for her (I drop the kids off at the sitter's and hubby picks them up in the afternoon because he gets off before I do).I got excited when I saw that they had a Slimfit version to match the 4Ever we got for my vehicle. I've included a ton of pics, one is a side by side of the Slimfit next to the 4ever. One is a side by side of the Slimfit platinum next to our current Slimfit (the purple one).The last pictures I've included are the ones that my husband is the most excited about. Apparently the platinum edition comes with an EZ Tight Latch system, while our older regular model came with the Inright Latch System (the one that looks like a regular buckle). My husband said this new one is going to be so much easier to take in and out of his truck. He often has to remove our son's car seat during the day and either put it in the truck bed or leave it at the shop while he's working if he has to fit other guys in his truck for the day. He says he's strongly contemplating getting another platinum one so that they will both be easy to remove and reinstall.While I don't really see the Slimfit as being that much smaller than the 4ever carseat, my husband says he definitely notices a difference versus how the 4ever fits in my Tahoe. We have a Graco 4Ever already, and we were looking for something slim for the backseat of our Subaru - with high hopes that we could then fit both seats AND a passenger back there. Alas, the 4Ever is too wide and both seats have to have their own sides (neither can stay in the middle). Perhaps it would be better if we bought two Slimfits, but that's a lot of investment when we already have a perfectly good car seat.Other than that, it's great. It's got all the safety features you'd expect, and they even managed to fit cupholders in by making them expandable/retractable in a cool way that takes up less space (granted I see cupholders as totally optional, but yeah). My niece recently had a baby and she uses this in her truck. Firstly she loves how easy it was to install. She especially likes how slim it is. She had a small infant weighing just under six pounds. He fit in this and was secure. This is so easy to latch into the vehicle and she says it feels so secure. He does not bounce around and the seat carrier is totally locked in place. This is rear facing so it is safe and there is lots of cushion around the baby. She likes that this seat will grow with her son and she absolutely likes that it is not too wide either because she plans on having other children and having a narrower seat makes it easy for multiple car seats to fit in the truck. I got this to be a second booster seat in an extra car for our 7 year old boy. So I jumped right into getting it into the older kid mode right out of the box. Admittedly it wasn't as simple and straightforward as I thought it would be and took quite a bit of tinkering and figuring out, but eventually I got there. My biggest problem is that the little hatch where you stow the crotch buckle for older kids is not quite close enough to the buckle to close the door over it. It's hard to explain, hopefully the pictures help. Basically you're supposed to be able to tuck the buckle and harness into this little trap door on the bottom of the seat, but the buckle isn't long enough to fit in all the way and close the trap door all the way. It sticks up a little bit. Fortunately there is enough padding to make it comfortable enough to sit on, but it's definitely not ideal. I tried EVERYTHING to get it to fit in there flush, but it just won't go. Beyond that that and the trickiness of getting it all set up the way we needed it to be, it's great! My son fits very well and likes it. It seems VERY safe and sturdy and secure. I love the latch system! It's very easy to take in and out when you need to. I was recently able to convert this to use for my 4 year old niece to use while they were in town and it worked great for her! I absolutely recommend this for kids through the 5 point harness age. While it's good for booster age kids, it's not perfect for that age. A very solid well made car seat over all though! Read more
