This product is not new to me. I decided to order through Amazon because it’s cheaper. Read more
My hair has always seemed like it couldn't make up its mind whether it wanted to be straight or curly. It's always done frizz well though. 🤦♀️ For years I've straightened it, but when my daughter (who has beautiful natural waves/curls) started talking about how she can't wait until she could straighten her hair I knew it was time to try and embrace my own hair. I've been trying a lot of different products (not at the same time), trying bits of the curly girl method, and looking for products that are free from all the things that 'they' say you shouldn't use in your hair. This looked like a good product to try. It's a cream (which I've seen can be good thing), doesn't have a lot of the "bad" ingredients, and I was hoping that because it's a style cream that it would help keep my hair looking like it's actually been styled rather than a mess. Unfortunately, this really hasn't been that great on my hair. It smells amazing and a little goes along way. But, it easily makes my hair look greasy and it's not giving me that polished wave/curl I was hoping for. My hair still gets frizzy, still looks a mess. For reference- I believe my hair is 2a/2b- it is fine and thin, and without very much volume. Read more
This is very different. It's not moose or spray or gel. It's a wet cream. Mine came and it had been open and leaked out liquid. This is odd, it's like a cream with liquid around it. Looks like it divided. I have used this cream on wet and dry hair and I think it works best on wet hair. When I put it on dry hair it made my hair feel like it had too much hair spray. When I used it wet it didn't get sticky feeling till I re-wet it the next day. It helps your hair hold the wave or curl all day. I use LUS shampoo and conditioner if you use a normal shampoo and conditioner your hair will never look as good. Curly hair needs special products made to keep it moist and not dry it out. This is an ok cream but I have used ones that moisturize and don't leave your hair feeling like you put hair spray in it. But this is good at keeping in the curl. Read more
This curl creme has a custard like thickness and smells similar to a vanilla candle. I rubbed some on my palms and even after wiping them with a paper towel, my palms had a greasy coating on them. I wasn’t willing to try the creme on my natural hair so I applied a small amount to a damp section of frizzy, curly synthetic hair. While it definitely defined the curls and got rid of the frizz, it also left the hair feeling sticky. That might not be a factor on natural hair but a day later, the synthetic is still sticky. The vanilla scent has gone and the hair just smells like paraffin wax. Maybe if the hair was fully wet and not just damp (and not synthetic) I would have had better results. The creme washed out of the wig okay but left some white residue behind. Read more
This hair cream reminded of the Orange jar of Shea Moisture (coconut, curl enhancing smoothie) it's similar in color, texture, and scent, but more expensive for the size. When I got it, the jar was not sealed and it looked curdled and weirdly shaped (picture), but smelled fine so I still used it.I rated this 3 out of 5 because so far using it I'm not too impressed with it overall. My hair is very long and thick, I have to use a decent amount of it in my hair, so i will not get much use out of this jar. It's very sticky feeling and doesnt go through my hair well. It does seems to hydrate a little and enhance my curls but I have also noticed an increase in dandruff. The hair cream contains soy as one of the main ingredients and doesnt state anywhere its non-gmo so I'm concerned that I'm using gmo soy (which I always try to avoid) in my hair. Read more
I have naturally curly hair, and taming it can be kind of difficult. The frizz is the worst offender for me. Therefore, I was excited to give this product a try!I wouldn't say that it does a particularly great job at defining my curls, although this might be due to me sleeping on it when it is wet. Parts of my hair curl really well with this product (and seem better than normal), but the ends are still a struggle. My hair does feel softer when using it, although I can't speak to strength (seems too soon to tell, and my hair isn't particularly weak). The frizz seems to be reduced by a lot, which is the main benefit I wanted from using this creme. So, for that property, I would recommend the product overall - just don't expect life-changing, super-defined curls. Read more
My sister has very curly often unruly hair and I thought this cream would be great for her. Unfortunately, it weighed her hair down and made it look almost greasy. Normally she has very buoyant curls that are well defined. This cream made them look more like spirals and her hair just didn't look the way she wanted. She tried the cream again and got the same result even when using a little bit so she has chosen not to use it again. She has heavy hair and actually likes products that help to control the volume but this cream flattened her hair too much. Read more
This makes my hair manageable and soft. I put it on the ends of my hair to make it soft and curly. The smell is nice not overpowering at all. The only issue is the jar is kind of small and I would use it up in about 2 weeks of use. Does not make my hair overly greasy like other products I have used. I would purchase again just in a bigger size. Read more
