Transitioning our youngest to a “big boy room”, and ordered the conversion kit for his crib after we bought his mattress/box spring. A box spring isn’t needed for this setup, as you can see. The mattress sits very high up with one. The slats on the side stick out, but there is hardware included to fix that. (Picture is before we fixed it from sticking out.) It all feels very sturdy, and we love the way it looks. Definitely a two person job, and the hardware is not labeled correctly from the instruction manual. Makes assembly a little more difficult. I don’t think this particular item listed is manufactured by the crib manufacturer. The price is a little steep, but when you buy a $600 crib, I guess that’s what you get! Read more
Item arrived on time. The coloring is off from my Baby Cache Vienna crib. Mine is gray. I was shipped so many extra parts and screws it made assembly confusing, but still had it done in over an hour. The rails don't line up perfectly with the Vienna crib either, this doesn't seem like a baby cache item. Read more
As expensive as this conversion kit is,in addition to the original bed, the fit and finish is WAY OFF. The color is different, and is not a perfect fit. Brackets had to be used as the width at the footboard is different from the headboard, which is not accounted for in the design. Instead, different brackets must be used, which gives an incosistent look. Read more
