I was getting tired of my old eargasm earplugs. I had the rubbery high fidelity ones and they work really well, I just could never get them to stay in place comfortably for the duration of a practice or set. I finally said enough and went looking for a replacement. This was one of the first I came across that has a foam earpiece. I have to say I am so far incredibly impressed. The 3 sizes and foam make allow for what I believe is better in-ear feel and hold relative to the rubbery ones. They feel really sturdy but also I am not acutely aware of something being stuck in my ear, which is a good thing. What isn't well advertised on the site is that in addition to the 3 different sizes, there are also two depths for further size customization. They work just as well if not better than the old ones because they sit in my ear comfortably. The sliding feature is really cool and works. I'm not totally sure when I would be switching between the two but there is a clear difference so the novelty could serve some purpose. I mostly will be wearing them at loud music venues so the higher power is more my speed. Highly recommend this for people who are tired of rubbery pieces falling out of their ears. Read more
Be careful about this if you dont notice a difference with the slides! I was able to notice it in one eat but not the other. When I checked in saw that this little white piece of adhesive/cushion slid down and was blocking the hole. I also tested this by blowing air into both of them. For the one not blocked i felt air come out on the other side. For the blocked one no air came out what so ever. Will update my review when i receive my replacement. If you dont notice a difference see of this is why!Edit: replacements came in and they were perfect. Not blockage of the earpiece and notice the same difference on both ears with the slide Read more
The new Eargasm Slide earplugs are an improvement over previous models for loud musical practice, and the variable volume sliders are a nice feature. They prevent my ears from ringing after rehearsal, which is the desired outcome. But as a bassist, these earplugs still don't allow enough low-frequency sound through to balance the other sounds -- they always block the bass frequencies more than mids and highs. A more bass-centric model would be nice. Read more
I have the original Eargasm earplugs for riding my motorcycle. They work great, but get a little uncomfortable after several hours (I have the same problem with many earbud headphones - not a product issue).I tried the slides with they came out. The foam tips are comfortable. As far as blocking sounds, like the original Eargasm earplugs, they eliminate wind noise and reduce the exhaust noise. I can still hear my helmet speakers, and don't have to remove them for quick conversations during breaks or fillups. The larger case is a plus, and the strap fits better on these than on the orignal. Overall, I'm pleased. Read more
As a musician who wants to be able to hear later in life, I've used earplugs for a long while. I've gone through most of the over-the-counter or the ones that don't require several hundred bucks. These Eargasm plugs just rocketed to the top of my list, will probably purchase more. I'm used to wrestling with plugs, trying to get them to stay in my ear or realizing it's as if nothing is there. Or sometimes the reverse happens where it blocks so much sound that I hear nothing--not good for playing. Not so with the Eargasms. Never thought I'd gush about earplugs but these things are awesome. I recommend you check them out. Read more
I've had these earplugs for a few months and have used them at over a dozen concerts ranging from Phil Collins to Def Leppard to Seven Lions to Aerosmith, among others. They've quickly become my go-to plugs since they let me dial-in how much noise protection I want simply by moving the slide. I replaced the foam tips with some Comply tips that I like better, and the combination of the Comply tips and Eargasm Slide plugs can't be beat. In fact, I like the plugs so much that I bought a backup set for me and also a set for my wife. When I had a question, Eargasm's customer service was excellent and very responsive. Great plugs and a great company to boot! Read more
This is my second set of Eargasim earplugs but they are becoming my favorite. I love the ability to control the level of sound dampening.while at a full stadium sporting event, I was able to go max dampening on the ear that was next to a loud drunk guy and base on the other ear. I was able to hear my partner next to me without issues.I only which the included cord was black and not white.Love these!I on Read more

I got these for dealing with misophonia/sensory overload and dealing with sounds being a bit louder for me than everyone else. I was a bit worried with how expensive they are but took the shot anyways, and I do NOT regret this. When opened, they have the effect of tuning out background noise very effectively, while still letting me hear myself, other people, my phone, etc. They feel like earbuds at this settingWhen closed, my voice is muffled and they do feel more like a traditional earplug. Louder sounds are lower in volume and it makes me being in louder areas easily manageable. I'm not even bothered by the dog barking anymore 😊For me, they don't sit flush as advertised, but this may be because I don't like to push earplugs in very far. They work fine only being in about halfway. The amount they do stick out doesn't get in the way of me laying down or anything.I did want to note that the strap is actually really good. I saw a lot of reviews saying it was sticky or extremely long, and I've found neither of these things to be true. I live with two cats and haven't had hair stick to it yet. It's about the length you expect a necklace should be when around my neck, and because the material is kinda like silicone it doesn't bother me being there.Without the cord, I don't feel like they'll fall out, but I'll probably use it when going out anyways. It does come with three sizes of plugs in two colours. I have very small ears and the small sized ones are working fine. The plastic bit also has notches on it for the tip so you can choose how deep in your ear you want it to go. I have mine on the second notch.Overall I have to say these are amazing and have greatly increased my quality of life. They probably won't be what you're looking for if you're in an extremely loud place, like a heavy metal concert or a Monster Jam (but let's be real, you should be looking for NRR 32 earplugs for those), but they're really good for lowering the volume of everyday sounds like trains or dogs barking (I'd go so far as to use these at a regular concert as well), or just tune out background noise if you're having trouble with that. I'll definitely be recommending these to people who could benefit from them. Read more
Well I'm a drummer and I needed it for rehearsals mainly, I have tried several brands of acoustic filters, Erasers, Planet wave, Earos One, Etymotics, etc... I found this one not very transparent in comparison with the majority of the others, it attenuates more than others, which is not bad as long as is horizontal in frequencies but this one cuts lots of highs and some mids so my snare drum sounded very muffled, cymbals as well same issue, singing voices also very muffled with a roll off of highs very noticeable, so the experience is not pleasant, even with the low reduction setting.Regarding to comfort I found it no very comfortable, usually I use mid size tips or in silicon even big size but in this one I had to use the small tip to be able to fit in properly, I know this is very subjective but this was my case.Of all I have tried finally I chose Etymotic ER20XS, is the most transparent I have tried, after that followed by the rest.
