They won't poke through the fabric without a fight, they bend out of shape during the battle and they've come undone during the night.. Not safe for my old pup! I needed a large safety pin for use on a blanket. So naturally I looked for a blanket pin. I found the most lethal looking pin one could possibly wish to avoid, because the sharp point was unshrouded when the pin was in the closed position. I am 84 years old and have not raised any babies lately, but I immediately looked for diaper pins as an alternative because their solid heads cover the sharp point when they are closed. These are not made well... I used them on my grandsons snowpants straps... Within the first hour of use one broke and was bent out of shape.... I use to use diaper pins when my children were little to keep the straps from falling down... This pins were so different... They are very cheap cheesey metal... they are not the standard size diaper pin...I think maybe they are for décor for a baby shower and not to be used as a diaper pin on a baby's diaper... Read more

My main complaint with these pins is that they are not very sharp. Instead of a long, tapered point, the point is more like a short cone. Therefore, they do not push through cloth well at all. Read more

So tiny. The product description led me to believe that they were 3 inches long. That must have been referring to the package they were sent in, which was 3x3x.4.They are pretty thin and a bit flimsy as well, but mostly their just too small to be used on cloth diapers.
