I'm a plus size mama (22/24) and struggled a lot while trying to use my original boppy pillow for nursing my infant as it would move, didn't really fit around me, would gap so the baby would fall between the pillow and me, etc. I bought this pillow after reading some of the reviews, and I'm SO glad that I did! I love the two sides - the harder side is great for my new nursling who hasn't quite figured it all out yet. The softer pillow side will be great once we get into a rhythm and I can latch her quickly and easily. The strap that goes around me has PLENTY of extra slack, and holds the pillow efficiently in place so that it doesn't move unless I want it to. If you're hesitant, don't be --- you won't be sorry!My ONLY complaint is that the pillow doesn't come out, so if baby spits up or if you leak or if anything gets onto the pillow at any time, the whole thing has to go into the washer, instead of just a cover. After using the original boppy to help me breastfeed my little one for six weeks, I was dealing with an aching back and neck from having to be bent over- I just wasn't getting the height I needed from the boppy and was always fighting it slipping away. I researched other options- (Brest Friend, and the Infantino Elevate) and finally took the risk and chose to try this. I am so glad I did! This pillow has a buckle for your waist so it stays put, the firm layer is a great surface and height for feeding my baby, and it even has a bit of a lip that helps slope my baby towards me. It's stable enough that he can stay in place without my help, and if I have to get up or move while feeding, it's a sturdy enough surface that I can support it, but still move around when needed- simply by holding the pillow in place. If your original boppy isn't cutting it and you're wondering if this is worth the few extra dollars- go for it- I'm so glad I did. Finally, a nursing pillow that feels large enough to work well! The pillow is tall enough that you don’t have to hunch or prop it with extra pillows. The strap is quite long - I’m 2wks postpartum, pre pregnancy size 20- and I have at least 2ft of extra strap. I really did not like the original Boppy with my first son so I didn’t get any kind of pillow for nursing with my second. After five weeks and I realized I really did need something to make nursing more comfortable and eventually he would outgrow the couch pillows I was using. This updated version is way better. First of all the other didn’t really fit and would pop right off. This one has a wider opening and also has the option to strap it on which is annoying to do but makes the pillow stay and allows you to lean back or be in different positions you couldn’t be in otherwise. I also love how tall and thick this is so I’m not crunched over. I love the option for the soft or firm side the soft is nice when I’m in my nursing chair and I use the firm when I’m in the bed. I love the print! The only thing is I’m often eating while nursing so I wish there was an option for darker material on both sides. So beyond frustrated. I’ve called the company and emailed them. I LOVE this pillow. As a plus sized girl it’s the ONLY one that works for me and my baby. I can get up in the middle night, take care of my son and still strap myself in no issues. I also have perfect support. Then why the 1 star review? 24 hours after using it the stitching came apart and I have stuffing falling out. The stitching is horrendous and was not what I was expecting from such a highly rated company. Honestly, I was SO excited about this. I always needed more support with the regular boppy, and this sure does the trick. However. After a month of using it since my son was born, it randomly started to fall apart! I’m disappointed in the quality for sure. It could be a lot better made. I love the purpose it serves, and the extra support, but the fact that it has single stitching and cheap fabric is not ideal. Also, you cannot take the cover off, and no cover is sold to put over it. If you want to wash it, you have to remove the foam pad and wash the entire thing. Not handy at all.Overall, I love the idea of the pillow, but the quality and ease of washing stinks. Read more

I love this pillow for breastfeeding. I like that it has a strap I can adjust and tighten to make it fit me perfectly. This is great for those of us with a little more to love, there is a lot of room in the strap to go around. My baby does great on this and it give my wrist and arms a break.My one complaint is that the soft pillow top is not removable for washing. Only the flat memory foam section is removable. I have another Boppy product from my pregnancy and the pillows are removable for washing, it seems it would have been easy to do the same for this pillow, but they chose not to.I have not washed it yet, I hope the soft pillow stays nice after the wash. I used a standard Boppy pillow with my son, which was very tiny for a plus sized person and not terribly comfortable to use. I strongly recommend this nursing pillow for any plus sized moms. It's quite generous, even in my currently very pregnant state when I tried it on there was a ton of room left on the belt if I needed to tighten it. This has a chemical smell to it. After washing I haven’t put it back in its original box because the box smells too! It smells better after washing and airing out. I washed both pieces; the firm side I had to wash twice, once by hand and the other in the washing machine. Nice size and colour. Read more

I really like how this stays around my waist. If my baby falls asleep while using it, I can pick him up and move him without it falling on the floor. I used the firm side when he was a newborn and the cushioned side now that he’s older. Very happy with this product, only downside is that is does get covered in spit and milk and doesn’t have a removable cover. It does go in washing machine though. Read more
