Too good to be true. This is not the real product or Matrix has changed their formula. The bottle on the left I purchased at a beauty supply shop, the label is a vibrant color and the product is a think cloudy color. The bottle purchased here (on the right) the label is a dull looking color and the liquid is a clear color. My hair is dull and does not hold style like it does using the product bought at the beauty supply store. It smells somewhat the same but something is not right. I just ordered my second bottle of the 33-oz Hydrasource shampoo. It has lasted me 6 months with every-other-day washing, and I have long and thick hair. It keeps my hair hydrated whether I wash-and-go (which I do most often) and it doesn't get greasy the next day, or if I blow dry. I've used this shampoo for over a decade and even if I switch it up I always come back to it. I have used all kinds of other shampoos, salon and otherwise, but this is always my tried and true.It is important to note that there are TWO kinds of Hydrasource shampoos – Ultra Hydrating which states on the bottle that it is for Very Dry Hair, and Hydrasource which states on the bottle that it is for Dry Hair (not very dry). They are both legitimate products and I have bought both over the last I’d say 12 years. The product is cloudy and not clear. If you have a clear product you will need to return or exchange it. This is made in Spain - not the US. This is not the same product you get at Ulta or Target. It is watery and does not moisturize like the kindness I have bought before. Surprised they can sell with the same label. Read more

She gave me a bottle of hers...I admit, I cannot believe the difference of how much softer and easy to style my hair is....sounds like a commercial huh? The last few months I've been noticing my hair has been really dry, breaking, and just something didn't feel 'right' after using these products. I began noticing my shoulders were itchy and breaking out too. I started thinking about what may be causing it over the last couple of months, and started thinking about this shampoo and conditioner I was using. I stopped using it for 2 days, instead using regular body wash for my hair and instantly my hair stopped falling out, and my scalp/skin stopped burning.Thinking back, I remember this (and the associated conditioner I got) not having safety seals on them. Today I received my legitimate replacements from an authorized salon, and BOTH the shampoo and conditioner had safety seals on them - it leads me to believe that whatever is in this product here on amazon is either a fake/knock off product, or someone tampered with it. I've learned my lesson - I won't be buying anything like this from a non-legitimate salon ever again. Not worth it. Read more

BEWARE! This product is horrific! I'm so upset with this shampoo and what it did to my hair! I was in denial and the same thing was happening to my fiance, this Shampo stripped our hair completely of any and all natural oils..it was like dish soup! Once my scalp was dry it would be stinging slightly like a burn and the next day my scalp would be flaking off! The same happened to my fiance. I have used Biolage for decades. I assumed this was the Same. I kept thinking I'd gotten a bad hair cut. My hair was terrible.I have very thick and healthy hair until this product. My hair was very dry and brittle. One day I realized it could be the shampoo. I changed and a huge difference! The low price should have been a clue. I have straight thick and dry hair that is frizzy all year long. The other hydration shampoos meant for this type of hair gives me dandruff almost immediately. This is the only shampoo that not only gives me no dandruff but also keeps my hair soft and shiny. There is no build up even if I go forego washing my hair for a week.
