The first bottle had capsules with dark oil in them which is to be expected. The second bottle has clear oil. I opened a capsule of each. Dark oil has the expected bite. The clear oil is tasteless. Something is amiss. I'm afraid someone has been duped along the way of manufacture. I did send my concern to the company and was assured they use the highest standards. I decided to try this because I was interested in an alternative source of omega-3's since Costco has discontinued my favorite. I added this on top of the last of my fish oil pills from Costco. I wasn't really expecting much since I'm already taking all these anti-inflammatories and omega-3's . But lately I've noticed that my joints have stopped hurting. Usually they hurt whenever it rains and since it's pretty mild I ignore the whole thing. But for the last week it's been raining on and off and not a peep from any of my joints . How odd, my joints have been hurting since I was a kid and sprained my ankle and it's only spread from one joint to all of my joints as I've gotten older. I know that omega-3 oils can be anti-inflammatories and reduce pain. but I've tried to take as many as 13 fish oil capsules trying to reach the therapeutic dose and it wasn't this effective on arthritis. I'm pretty impressed with this oil.This is a great alternative, especially for those of you who may be sensitive to fish. I am a forgetful person. But it's hard to forget the black seed oil supplements because if it rains, my joints start hurting, and then I remember to take them again. Once I take them again my joints stop hurting . I would call this an essential supplement.Update: I have have mild diabetes, it is controlled by a strict diet. But like everyone, I go over sometimes and when I do my arthritis lets me know all about it. It is in fact, much more reliable than the glucose meter. Recently, I've been trying to detox (I've got a weird complication from one of my medical conditions - it leaves grayish-green stuff under my skin). For detox - I'm taking every antioxidant I can think of especially this black seed oil. I don't have too many fat-based antioxidants. I've also added an infrared sauna. The detox is going but.... when my glucose went up high, I could not feel a thing. Not a thing. Now all the things I do for detox helps reduce inflammation but this is ridiculous.Was it the black seed oil? I don't think so, I've found fish oil, vitamin D (all my fat-based anti-oxidants) are all helpful. When I first started taking the Organic Black Seed Oil, there was an unpleasant taste when I burped. Because of all the positive reports I read that stated there may be anti-inflammatory benefits, I continued taking it. Somewhere around week 3, I didn't notice the taste as much. During the cold months my eczema gets bad. This winter was a bit better than normal. No hot showers, just warm. Put lotion on immediately once my skin is dry.
