I decided to take a chance despite the numerous poor reviews and I regret it. Very poor quality control. Had much higher expectations for this product at this price point. It is missing most of the essential pieces; no connector bars, upper plastic connectors, lower plastic connectors, missing extension gates to make it out to be the width advertised, and none of the items from the accessory box were included such as the tension bolts, screws, etc. I pretty much just have one walkthrough gate and an extension piece. This product was shipped in a way that it is completely useless. It is a pain to box back up and haul somewhere to return. Pretty sure this box was either a return and then sold to me as new or the quality control on these products is very poor as I am not the first person to have this issue! It's the favorite of the various "baby gates" we purchased for our dogs. Sturdy and taller. It requires a deliberate effort to lift the door when opening it so no accidental openings are likely. A two sided plastic ramp was included that makes tripping over the opening bottom bar less likely too. It does require a little time/effort to install to adjust the gate to fit properly for the latch to engage correctly -so it's not a gate you want to set up and take down frequently (although you could). I purchased this to install at the top of my stairs to keep the aging grand-dogs from going down on their own. My son has one installed in a doorway in his home and it works well and is easy to operate. The actual gate is not wider for a wide opening. There are fixed extensions to enclose a wide opening. This is not suitable for temporary installation since the frame has to be fixed in place in order for the gate to latch and that seems to be a one time installation. I attempted to follow the instructions but there seemed to be pieces missing. Even if the installation were doable, this product is not satisfactory for the top of my stairs. We searched for hours trying to find a gate to fit an opening that used to have a pocket door to keep our toddler from going into an office. I purchased 2 baby gates to protect my new carpet from the dogs. I ordered 1 from Cumbro and this Allaibb because Cumbro did not have a large enough gate for the doorway. I really prefer the Cumbro it is much sturdier and for some reason the latch is so much easier to work, I don't have to fiddle around with it. I bought the larger gate and I see a lot of people saying they are missing pieces which is wrong. You don’t need the plastic extender for the gate. That small piece is used for smaller gates. You can see in the picture there is no plastic extender. STOP SENDING THE GATES BACK!?!? YOU HAVE WHAT YOU NEED. They just use universal instructions for all sizes. Another thing don’t take off the zip ties from the gate until it is fully assembled!?!? It uses pressure to keep the gate locked if you take it off early the gate will have a gap.
